We collect information you provide when creating a player profile: name, position, physical statistics (Bronco time, sprint times, strength data), playing history, passport eligibility details, and any media you upload. We also collect standard analytics data via PostHog, a GDPR-compliant provider.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your profile data creates your public rugby passport, makes you discoverable to registered scouts and clubs, and helps us improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Scout contact details are never shared without your explicit consent.
3. Profile Visibility
Your public profile (name, position, stats, playing history) is visible to all registered scouts and clubs. You can set your profile to private at any time from dashboard settings. Contact details are only shown to verified club representatives.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies for session management. Analytics cookies are only activated with your explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. Request deletion at any time by emailing hello@5metrescrum.com. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)

1. Acceptance
By using 5Metre Scrum you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create a player profile. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent.
3. Accurate Information
All combine statistics, playing history, and eligibility information you submit must be accurate. Submitting false combine data or falsifying passport eligibility is grounds for immediate account termination.
4. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all content you upload. By uploading, you grant 5Metre Scrum a non-exclusive licence to display your profile content to registered scouts and clubs for rugby recruitment purposes.
5. Subscription & Billing
The Academy plan is free. The First XV plan (£9/month or £86/year) is billed via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew and can be cancelled at any time from your dashboard.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not scrape player data, use the platform for spam, impersonate scouts or club officials, or use automated tools to create fake profiles.
7. Limitation of Liability
5Metre Scrum facilitates connections between players and clubs. We do not guarantee employment, contracts, or trial invitations. We are not liable for decisions made by clubs based on profile information.
